Maria Olguin joined the Springdale Chamber of Commerce staff as its Minority Business Liaison in April 2005. Olguin, a native of Fresno, Calif., has served as the Chamber's liaison and has been working with Springdale's minority business community in the areas of membership, events, business assistance and economic development. She is the second person to serve the community in this capacity since it was established by the Chamber in August of 2003.

Maria serves as secretary of the NWA Hispanic Council and is a member of the Hispanic Women's Organization. She is also part of the committee that has been working closely with Springdale's Chief of Police on issues pertaining to the Hispanic community.

Olguin has lived in Northwest Arkansas for the past eight years is married to Juan Olguin and has two children Jazmine (10) and Julio (1).
